Who do you think is the best defender in England. Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Woodgate, John Terry or Jamie Carragher.

The best defender in England is Jamie Carragher vice captain of Liverpool, he played for Liverpool for over 10 years he won 11 cups with Liverpool he was part of the team in Liverpool's Treble season.He was in the PFA team of the year once.
I think Jonathan Woodgate us the 2nd best defender in England even though he only won 1 cup with Spurs. The 3rd is Rio Ferdinand he is a great defender he was in the PFA team of the year twice. The 4th is of course John terry captain of Chelsea and England he was in the PFA team of the year 3 times, won the PFA player of the year award in 2005 and he won 3 cups with Chelsea.
